Organized by the Cercle de Coopération des ONG de Développement, Brot für die Welt, OGB-L Solidarité Syndicale, Solidarité Socialiste, FOS, CNCD 11.11.11 and SOLIDAR, the roundtable discussion “Social Protection for All: Putting SDGs Commitments into Practice” aims at
- Taking stock of the results of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) negotiations
- Discussing how to move from engagements to the implementation of the social protection-related SDGs targets and the role of different actors (European Commission, European Council, European Parliament, UN, and CSOs)
- Highlighting the interconnections between the right to social protection and the progressive realization of economic, social and cultural rights.
With Mr. Romain Schneider, Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of Luxembourg and Olivier De Schutter, UN Special Rapporteur on the right to food.
